{BN Black Book of Parties} White Christmas Dessert Table

I’m excited to share today’s wonderful party feature with you – it’s a beautiful White Christmas dessert table from Elise at Sweet Scarlet Designs. I’m loving the grey & white with hints of red color scheme she chose and the designs and styling are fabulous!

{DIY Tutorial} Pottery Barn Noel Sign Knock Off

If you missed the Pinterest Party we did a couple weeks ago you really missed some fun ideas and inspiration! But you can still check out the Christmas Decorating Ideas pin board here. There are so many ideas I am dying to try! Last week I had a crafty night with some ladies in my neighborhood and figured it was the perfect time to go for it. The original post from pinterest for this DIY Pottery Barn inspired noel sign came from Life {Sweet} Life, but I used a couple different products and added an extra step to mine.

Supplies:

Wood block letters – Hobby Lobby for $2.oo each

Popsicle sticks and sandpaper

Hot glue gun

Paint and brush (or spray paint)

First paint your letters individually and let dry.

Then I sanded the edges of my letters to give them a distressed look.

Next flip your letters over and line them up how you want them.

Hot glue the popsicle sticks were the letters line up to hold them together and won’t be seen in the front.

Flip it over and see the finished product :) How easy was that right!?!

I placed my noel sign on one of our shelves next to out Christmas advent bags. I just love the way that it turned out, not bad for $8 bucks either!

{BN Black Book of Parties} Gingerbread House Decorating Party

Holly here from Paisley Petal and now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to move into Christmas mode! I thought I’d start by sharing a fun little gingerbread house decorating party I created for my daughter and some of her friends last year. I loved using the bright color palette of red, lime green, bright pink and aqua blue to create this whimsical party.

I hung some coordinating tissue paper fans embellished with a printable party circle to spruce up the decorating table.

As the girls arrived at the party, each of their chairs was tied with a darling apron that my amazing sister-in-law made for each of the little girls. This way they wouldn’t get their clothes messy during all the decorating madness!

Each place setting included a personalized canvas bag, along with their piping bag, candy to decorate their houses and a small favor box. The canvas bag was used to take their apron home in once the party was over.

The favor box contained a hand sanitizer, chapstick and some hershey’s kisses with a printable sticker added to the bottom.

After the girls finished decorating their houses, they could eat a cupcake for a little treat.

I found these lollipops at Walmart, and they coordinated perfectly with our color scheme!

The girls had a great time…here are a couple of their creations!

Hopefully I’ve given you a little inspiration to have your own little gingerbread house decorating party!
