Merry Christmas Sweet Friends!

I can not believe Christmas eve is here! I have some last minute “Santa” shopping from Lauren’s visit with the big guy yesterday. Wish me luck finding her last minute requests! I wanted to take a moment and thank you my sweet friends for reading along this year. It has been a amazing year full of new inspiration, fabulous new products in the shop and the best contributors bringing some fresh new ideas for you all. There are some BIG things coming soon in the new year and it will be really exciting to see these things “roll out”. In the meantime from me and all the ladies of the ABN team- we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! We will be back to regular posting on the 2nd. Hugs and much love from us to you!

A Little Thanks From Sweet Threads Clothing Co.

ABN is taking the next two week’s off from giveaways, one to spend time with family this week and celebrate Thanksgiving, and secondly to prep for our BIG 12 Days of Christmas line up of giveaways! Wait till you see the vendors we have lined up (we will share them all next week)

I, personally, have so much to be grateful for this year ~ beautiful children, a wonderful family, a close knit group of friends, and honestly after all the devastation in my neck of woods from Hurricane Sandy, a roof over my head! There are so many people who have lost everything that it makes me so thankful we were spared.

I wish everyone a wonderful and blessed holiday! From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Friday Randomness

Do you sometimes just have some random thoughts you want to get out? Well I have a few for you. More like things I am thankful for, excited about or just plain random. So here it goes for my top 5 today!

(1) I just read this post by Emily and got warm fuzzys and wish her a very happy birthday!

(2) I can not stop playing Ho Hey! I just love this song right now and am slightly obsessed.

(3) I had a pay it forward moment in Starbucks this morning. I got talking to the lady in front of me who is not a big caffeine drinker and could not decide which drink would not make her bounce off of buildings. She was so sweet and I just have been so thankful of the kindness of Texans since I have gotten here that I bought her drink for her. I thought she was going to cry. I mean it is a $5 drink. It takes that little to make the day of someone else.

(4) I can not WAIT for my play date this afternoon with Mariah of Giggles Galore! My daughter is absolutely obsessed with her son Parker. I am so glad Lauren has SOMEONE to play with other than me. How cute are her little ones??

(5) Everyday I get nervous to get in the car to drive out of my drive way. Besides taking Lauren to school, I get lost EVERY day. I know this will get better but is very frustrating.

SO my sweet readers, give me your Friday randomness. I really do truly love your comments and want to hear from you more! Have a wonderful weekend and talk to you on Monday!

Birthday Weekend!

{photography by Nicole Benitez Photography}

My little baby (no more!) will be 4 tomorrow! As all mothers say “I can not believe how time flys”. She is remarkable in every way and surprises me everyday with a witty sassy comment. Our favorite song to sing together is “You are my Sunshine” and she really is. Through life’s crazy up and down turns, she is the light that always shines the brightest and brings such joy. This really is what motherhood is all about!

On another note I can not believe I am yet another year older on Sunday. Can time just reverse itself please??!! I think this is the best part of being a day apart from Lauren- so we focus and celebrate for her and I try to forget about me. Haha! But my lovely husband does not let me forget and God bless him for that!

So today my little sunshine has asked to bake a cake with mommy for her birthday tomorrow and she has asked that it is chocolate with pink frosting. So I took a look on Pinterest and found this gorgeous cake. Oh lets pray that I can do something justice to this one but alas I am a stylist/designer and not the worlds best cook/baker. If it is decent I will share it on our facebook page.

I have been asking Lauren what kind of birthday party she has wants for about 6 months as I believe the party theme should always be the choice of the child. She has unwaveringly said a PRINCESS PARTY! So her wish is my command but will wait until we are settled after this next month. It will be fun to do a princess party hopefully very different from what is out there on the web. I am excited about this theme because I love super girl parties! Hmm . . .and now that I think about it I never shared Lauren’s party from last year. Just may have to do that next week. What do you think? Here is a sneak peak from it.

So happy weekend my friends and hope you have a fun filled one as us over here!
