Candy Jar Filler Tutorial

Candy Buffets are all the rage and a great way to add pops of color to your party.  But, candy can get expensive when you are filling large jars or containers.  Don’t blow your budget on candy, follow my easy Candy Jar Filler Tutorial to save money on your next event.

1. Gather your supplies.  You will need a large jar, candy and a paper towel roll.

2. Wrap the paper towel roll in white paper (or other color coordinated paper) and seal off the top with a paper towel to create a hollow area.

3. Start adding your candy, filling it in around the paper towel.

4.  Layer each color of candy until the paper towel roll is covered.

5.  Add lollipops to create a fun display

Add a little extra sweetness to your next event with a creative candy buffet or display, without breaking the bank!

{DIY Tutorial} We’ve Been Booed Treat Bags & A Free Printable!

Do you “boo” your neighbors?  My kids (who are we kidding I love this tradition too!) look forward to it each October.  We have fun creating a bag full of goodies, ringing the doorbell and running away trying not to burst out in giggles until we are safely in the car.

You can’t “boo” your neighbors without a fun sign and of course a cute treat bag to go with it.  I made these easy treat bags to coordinate with A Blissful Nest’s bold and spooky “We’ve Been Booed” signs.

You will need small white canvas bags, ribbon, and candy to make your Boo Bags.

Cut strips of each ribbon so that it wraps around the back of the bag just slightly.

Hot glue the strips of ribbon to the bag.

Make a tag for your bag.  I used my circle punch to make circles on yellow glittery scrapbook paper and added a small bat cut out from black paper.  I also cut out “Boo” in vinyl and added to the tag.

Attach your tags to the handle using twine or ribbon.

Fill your boo bags with candy and secretly deliver to your neighbors for a special Halloween treat!
