Happy Holidays from Me to You!

I just wanted to say thank you for making this a memorable year for me and I truly look forward to the new year and all that is to come for this little blog. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and eat lots of yummy food!!

{On a side note: I could not decide on a card this year. No surprise for anyone who knows me and knows how difficult it is for me to make a decision when it comes to me. SO I decided to make my own. I am thinking I may offer 3 designs next year that either I can have professionally printed for you or you can purchase the file. What do you think??}

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party: With Nicole Benitez Photography

Oh my goodness this was so much fun. Nicole and I met through a friend and I have been dying to work with her after seeing her amazing photos. She is a truly talented photographer!! You must go check out her website Nicole Benitez Photography HERE.

Nicole contacted me to see if I would be interested on working on a house warming/Holiday party for her. And of course I said YES!! I enlisted Esmeralda of Sin-City Sweets to make cupcakes and cake pops and told her to make them UGLY. I laughed when I saw each of the cupcakes with the ugliest sweaters ever on them.

Nicole was so fun to work with because I had ideas of cotton candy coming out of these footed bowls with lights in them and she just let me go with it- though I think most people would have thought I was crazy.

Then the night before I had another thought that there should be a wreath that hung wrapped in Christmas lights and you all know how I feel about wreath projects. So before I headed down to her house, I did an emergency stop at Michaels!

I also had suggested that it would be fun to do eggnog shots with cute striped straws-Yum!

And of course I had to have candy jars in the main colors-red hots, black and white gummi penguins, and raspberry blue gummi bears.

And lastly Nicole made these herself!! Chocolate ornament lollipops from molds for Michaels. Totally adorable!!

Nicole thank you so much for letting me come “play” with you on this and stay tuned everyone for another party from the 2 of us next month- her twins birthday party!!

********And thank you to Courtney at Pizzazzerie for already doing an exclusive post on this party!! Are you a BN Fan on Facebook? If so you were able to catch this feature (and link) yesterday!!****************

Unique LA Holiday Show Recap

Well it has been a week since the show (okay a little over a week) and I have to tell you I am happy it has passed. I was so sick (again!) and it was a HUGE show (8,000 people the first day) so it took a lot out of me. But I was SO happy to meet a few of you and it surprised me that people recognized my name and had come to see me! THANK YOU!! Ashley and I had set up a gorgeous dessert bar that we got to showcase some fabulous vendors (please see our preferred vendor list below). I used the “It’s Cold Outside” Printable Collection (available in the SHOP now!) since we were in the kids section and I wanted to show everyone how easy it is to decorate your favorite desserts! So here are some gorgeous pics taken by Ashley so you can see our booth and close ups of the dessert bar.

And the Dessert Table:

And lastly, here is a picture of me helping some clients. Thought you might enjoy seeing me hard at work!! HA HA!!

Polar Express Birthday Party By Shalonda of Chubby Cheek Photography

Shalonda of Chubby Cheek Photography is one of my bloggy friends I have made over the last year and I swear meeting ladies like this is what is so much fun about blogging! Shalonda asks ME for advise! It really should be the other way around and she just flatters me everytime. She had first contacted me asking what I thought about a Polar Express Party for her daughter and I could just feel her excitement through the email and it was contagious! Shalonda then sent me a picture of what she was plannig on doing for invites and there was nothing that I thought needed to be changed. They were amazing! But I did suggest adding some glitz with rhinstones and it really made it all sparkle. She used this gorgeous silver paper and went with that theme to create a winter wonderland for her beautiful daughter. Just take a look:

Okay did that blow you away??!! Shalonda you are a true talent as a photographer AND as a party stylist!! Thank you so much for inspiring us this holiday season.

You must go check out her full post on the party with full vendor credits. Visit Chubby Cheek Photography HERE.
