{BN Black Book of Parties} Purple and Yellow Monkey Party

I chose today’s featured party because I thought the colors and theme were so fun and unique! Tailoring your party to the guest of honor will make the event even more special and memorable for them. Autumn from Autumn Lynn’s Chocolate Sins created a darling purple & yellow monkey party for her sweet niece who was turning 4 and loves monkeys and the color purple.

Some of my favorite elements include:

  • The green tree as the backdrop centerpiece
  • All of the homemade treats, including the monkey cake pops, cute cookies and darling chocolate covered oreos
  • Banana favor boxes
  • All the cute little monkeys throughout the table

{BN Black Book of Parties} You Are My Sunshine Party

I absolutely love this theme and the fun, bright yellow and pink colors that were used to create this darling 1st birthday party designed by Tammy from Meghily’s – Party In Style. The party theme was centered around the popular song “You Are My Sunshine” and is absolutely perfect to celebrate your child’s 1st birthday and essentially how you feel about that sweet child.

Some of my favorite party details include:

  • The large art print used in the backdrop
  • Clever banner across the front of the table including the words to the song
  • Darling fabric banner on the high chair
  • Sweet as can be party hat for the birthday girl

{BN Black Book of Parties} – Rainbow Jelly Bean Party

Hello A Blissful Nest readers, it’s Holly from Paisley Petal Events and I’m back with a bright and colorful party to share with you today! Last week I attended the creative blogging conference SNAP! and was able to meet the darling and amazing Mindy from Creative Juices. She has a fun blog with tons of fabulous ideas to “get your creative juices flowing” – love that!

Mindy lives near the Jelly Belly factory in California and is one of their family’s favorite places to visit – which became the inspiration for her daughter’s 4th birthday party.

I love the simple white cake embellished with jelly beans and rainbow stripes – fabulous!

Rainbow jelly bean party fruit cups

It’s always nice to include some healthy snacks on your party table and these rainbow colored cups filled with coordinating fruit are perfect for the little ones.

Mindy created a jelly bean bar filled with a rainbow of jelly beans for the kids to choose from, complete with matching wooden spoons.

One of the fun activities at the party included a jelly bean art project – the kids could choose different colored jelly beans to create a cardboard nameplate to take home.
