Birthday Weekend!

My little baby (no more!) will be 4 tomorrow! As all mothers say “I can not believe how time flys”. She is remarkable in every way and surprises me everyday with a witty sassy comment. Our favorite song to sing together is “You are my Sunshine” and she really is. Through life’s crazy up and down turns, she is the light that always shines the brightest and brings such joy. This really is what motherhood is all about!

On another note I can not believe I am yet another year older on Sunday. Can time just reverse itself please??!! I think this is the best part of being a day apart from Lauren- so we focus and celebrate for her and I try to forget about me. Haha! But my lovely husband does not let me forget and God bless him for that!

So today my little sunshine has asked to bake a cake with mommy for her birthday tomorrow and she has asked that it is chocolate with pink frosting. So I took a look on Pinterest and found this gorgeous cake. Oh lets pray that I can do something justice to this one but alas I am a stylist/designer and not the worlds best cook/baker. If it is decent I will share it on our facebook page.

I have been asking Lauren what kind of birthday party she has wants for about 6 months as I believe the party theme should always be the choice of the child. She has unwaveringly said a PRINCESS PARTY! So her wish is my command but will wait until we are settled after this next month. It will be fun to do a princess party hopefully very different from what is out there on the web. I am excited about this theme because I love super girl parties! Hmm . . .and now that I think about it I never shared Lauren’s party from last year. Just may have to do that next week. What do you think? Here is a sneak peak from it.

This is us. . .

Yes this is us right now. You could call it moving, in limbo, displaced, unorganized or out of sorts and you would be correct on all accounts. We are in the midsts of moving and I can not find a thing of course. It is making this OCD mind of mine absolutely crazy. We will be temporarily moving somewhere before our BIG move to Dallas. So for now this may be my life for the next few months. One of my best friends told me to think of it like a little vacay. I am going to try to live through her eyes! I love Amy to bits and pieces and she makes everything seem happier and cheerier! So thankful for friends like that right?!

So for now this is housing my things and where they will live . . .and well for us- we will be off onto an adventure for a few months!

I may be in and out posting over the next week but be back posting on a regular basis after the new year. Our shop is still open and printed assembled orders will begin being taken as of January 2nd.

Oh Where Oh Where . . .

You must be saying this by now because I know I usually keep a fairly regular posting schedule. I do not usually get too personal on this blog as I like it to be chalk full of inspiration and more home/entertaining ideas, BUT I know we have lots of new followers and want to make sure you all know I am still here!

This has been a somewhat long week as I am up North taking care of my mom for a month who had major surgery on Monday. We are hoping this is the end of her cancer battle and she can start the new year on a brighter note. It has been long days at the hospital and I have been more consumed being a drill Sargent to get her to walk than posting beautiful inspiration for the holidays. Trust me I (and I know she) would rather me be doing the later. I miss my little girl and hubby but I think they are having fun without me!! Have you all heard about the wind destruction that happened over the last 2 days in Pasadena, California?? Yep, thats what they are dealing with. I hope I dont come back to too destroyed of a yard.

So with ALL that said I have some news that shall make you and I excited for the weeks to come around here. Starting next Monday we are having some fabulous visitors each day ;with a few holiday crafting/entertaining ideas by me and a NEW holiday collection to share. I am SO excited for the ladies who are participating in this month long shall we say party!! I am honored by each ones presence and adore each lady to bits and pieces. I was thinking of giving you a run down of who each of them are but I think it would be more fun for you to be surprised each day.

So hows that for one of my most wordiest posts ever (I think!)? Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and I will see you back here Monday.
