I love creating fun and easy projects that I can do with my daughter and this paper table runner is perfect even for dad’s to do for a personlized project for Mother’s Day.
Here is what you will need:
- a roll of parchment paper
-white paint (or any color or variations of colors)
-foam sticks (or cut cute shapes out of sponges)
-ruler
-scissors
Step 1: Measure out how long you want your runner to be and cut it out. My rule of thumb is to make my table runners have a 2′ drop on each end.
Step 2: Use your sponge sticks and create a pattern. We created a dot pattern but a chevron stripe or a wide stripe would be cute too in various colors.
TIP: Use a paper plate for your paint. When applying the sponge push down and up- do not smear or you will have uneven edges. You may want to “fill in” your dots with a standard paint brush if you want a more solid look.
Step 3: Let dry and your done!
Easy right? I expect to see these popping up more and more since they are a piece of cake to make. Happy weekend friends!
