Mother’s Day Brunch – The Table Decor

We are continuing our Mother’s Day Brunch ideas with the table decor. First I invited a few of my closest mommy friends to a Mother’s Day Brunch in the shade of my backyard. Then I planned an yummy menu and set the stage for the ladies to arrive!

I am a frilly girly girl and had to use a pink ruffle table skirt over my table and gold chiavari chairs.

I made a quick DIY table runner (tutorial later this week!) with my daughter using parchment paper for down the center of the table and some personalized DIY monogram napkins were placed at each place setting. A set of 8 napkins were given to each lady to take home as a sweet little gift.

A simple floral arrangement was placed in the center of the table using an old ironstone pitcher. A sweet little Mother’s Day sign tucked nicely into the hydrangeas and hot pink roses.

Bowls of mini oranges were not only pretty to look at and give a citrus flare but were nice to snack on.

Our chiavari chairs got dolled up too! Over sized tissue paper flowers were attached to the chairs for and extra glam effect.

Since I am a paper lover and graphic designer of course I had to personalize the table with custom paper designs.

Soft mint green, orange and pink was the perfect color scheme with this modern trellis pattern.

Our new raspberry monogrammed lucite tray was the perfect accessory to serve our citrus fruit salads.

Mini personalized picks with our party circles and a sprig of mint leaf was a special added touch.

Mother’s Day Brunch – The Food

When putting a garden party together for a Mother’s Day Brunch, I like to keep it simple. For this Mother’s Day Brunch first invite them with our free printable fill-in invitation and then make a yummy menu they will sure to love to snack on while gabbing away. When I mean simple, I mean simple!

Pick up some fresh warm cinnamon rolls from your local bakery and place them on a cake plate with some cute tulle pom pom picks.

Mini fruit salads with a touch of mint leaves is such a refreshing salad to serve. Of course I like to color coordinate these and chose strawberries, raspberries and mini oranges to fill my flea market found bowls. To dress them up I placed party circles on sticks with sweet sentiments and flowers.

Bowls and compotes filled with mini oranges encourages guests to grab for a nibble while enjoying the afternoon under the trees.

Call Me Maybe Valentines Day Party – Part 2 – The Activities

The other day I shared our gorgeous dessert table for our Call Me Maybe Valentines Day Party and today I want to share all the fun things the kids got to do. I mean what is a party without great games and the perfect person to help me plan these was Mariah from Giggles Galore.

Of course we had to go out and find vintage phones for the kids to play with and these two we picked up at local Antique stores. With a couple coats of spray paint in gold and turquoise and they were ready to play with.

Of course having a matching shirt with our party was a must!

Mariah had the great idea of the kids playing telephone the old fashioned way with tin cans and string? Anyone do this when they were a kid?? Love this and of course the cans had to match our party theme!

Lastly, we had them sit in a semi circle and play telephone by whispering a word in each others ears (of course if you have older kids it can be phrases but for these little guys we kept it simple). Oh heaves they had us rolling by the time it got to the last person and they said out lowed what they thought had been whispered. Too cute and we all had great laughs.

Of course I had to have a little dance party with our favorite song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen and ate lots of snacks and candy!

This really has to be one of the most fun parties we have had and love that the kids had so much fun!

To visit our first post on the decorations of this party, pop in HERE. And for fun I created this cute video of our party to get you in the Valentines Day spirit. Enjoy!!
