Erin of Catering By Erin McMahon contacted me and wanted to do a picnic style party with milkshakes and sliders for her daughter’s 11th birthday. I thought it would be cute to add a fun 50′s theme and decorate with records. We still stayed with the traditional red and white checker pattern of a picnic and added fun pops of other color. Erin did such a fantastic job decorating this party and I loved getting her emails every time she found something new at a thrift store to use. This is the meaning of throwing a party for your little one. The search for great fun finds and being SO excited to set it all up and see their eyes light up.
Just take a look at this picture of Lyndsey. So cute!
Erin thank you so much for sharing these as I really got to enjoy your excitement through them!!

Love this idea! When I was a girl, I looked forward to our annual grade school “sock hop” each year because it meant I could wear a twirly poodle skirt!
Gorgeous!! I love the whole theme! <3
