Vintage Sweet Valentines Inspiration Table by Blissful Nest

I wanted to leave you all this weekend with a little inspiration from BN’s neck of the woods. As I think you all know I am obsessed with that pewter grey color and could not resist adding that into this collection. I wanted to do a affordable table that has that “not affordable” look. I went with a tailored soft pink stripe fabric for the background and a grey sparkle fabric for the table cover.

I took a beautiful flower that was on one of my baby shower presents (too beautiful to throw away!) and stuck it on the cupcake stand.

The amazing Carmen of Pom Flair made these gorgeous red pomettes that I used behind the table and hung them at different heights to create visual interest.

I made the cupcakes and milk shakes and decorated them with personalized flags and cupcake toppers to match the fabrics in a modern pattern and multi stripe. The one theme carried throughout the decorations was the flower that was put on the paper decorations too.

The rest of the candies and baked goods were purchased at Target and Smart and Final. See you do not need to spend tons of money on candy and baked goods!!

And lastly symmetry to me is so important especially coming from a design background. You want it to look like it is balanced but I always like to add in a touch of whimsy- like on the right side apothecary jars and on the left a jar of red hots with over sized lollipops popping out.  Hope you enjoyed my take on a Vintage Sweet Valentines Day!
