Lauren’s 1st Cupcake Birthday Party

I had not shared Lauren’s first birthday yet and wanted to let you see my feeble first attempt at my daughter’s party. I have learned so much in the last 7 months which I think reflected in my Valentine’s party and you will see going forward. Planning for Lauren’s party took me SO long as most new mom’s will say. But I found the party blogging world a little too late for it to have really have made an impact on my design skills for a party planner- that and also having 70 people at my house made me just a little crazy! So for next year I am really excited about the Princess and the Frog theme and the guest list will be down to a third of what it was to help my sanity. But in the meantime I hope you enjoy my little girl’s FIRST birthday!

I made her invites by layering decorative papers.

I found these cupcake toppers on ETSY and now make and sell them myself.

The party favors I made:

The birthday banner I found on ETSY:

Me and my little girl.

My little princess in her yellow tutu and her custom cupcake t-shirt (her name is spelled out in rhinestones)

And I just had to share with you her mutilation of her cake- it was too funny!

i can't remember how i found your blog, but i'm glad i did! i'm in the midst of planning my daughter's first birthday party….and it's definitely a little hectic! my colors are hot pink & bright/light yellow. i would love to know where you got her tutu! also….i borrowed a party idea: i am attempting the tissue paper wreaths you had for another party. however, I would love to order some "circle monograms" you have for the center. how should i do this? i didn't see them on your etsy page. thanks for all your help!!
